Dr. Kimrey was born and raised here in Knoxville as the oldest of three siblings. He attended the Cedar Bluff schools before enrolling at Webb School of Knoxville for high school where he played football each year and served as captain of his Varsity team. Throughout his teenage and college years, Dr. Kimrey worked for his father’s microwave engineering firm.
After graduating from Clemson University with high honors and a degree in Chemistry, Dr. Kimrey continued on to the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee to pursue his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS). While in dental school, he worked during the summer in the Oral Surgery clinic.
In Fall 2012, Dr. Kimrey attended the Dental Education Laboratories’ Art of Endodontics course in Santa Barbara, California under the direction of esteemed endodontist Dr. Stephen Buchanan. In Fall 2014, Dr. Kimrey attended an intensive CEREC course in Scottsdale, Arizona where he perfected the creation of one-day crowns. Dr. Kimrey is currently studying the prestigious Dawson Academy’s Core Curriculum focusing on complete dentistry and perfecting esthetics.
