FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Our patients ask us interesting questions every day, and we figured it would be helpful to include some of the most common ones right here on our website. To view the answers, simply click on the questions below. If you have a question that we haven’t included here, be sure to contact us and ask. No question is too small or silly, so don’t hesitate to ask about anything you want to know!

According to the American Dental Association, patients of all ages should visit their dentist at least twice a year for a regular checkup and cleaning. This will go a long way in preventing many dental issues and keeping your smile healthy and beautiful for years to come!

Our doctors agree with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry on this one: a child should come in for their first dental appointment within 6 months after their first tooth erupts but no later than their first birthday.

We can actually do a few different things to help your cavity! For a small cavity, we will probably use a tooth-colored filling to fix it. However, if the damage is more extensive, we may choose to restore the tooth using a dental crown. In either case, we’ll make sure your tooth looks and feels great afterward!

Yes, we can, and we have a few ways we can do it. If you are missing a few teeth right next to each other, we can replace them with a dental bridge. However, if you have teeth missing throughout your mouth or need an entire arch replaced, we can provide you with a set of dentures.

For a more permanent solution, however, we may suggest that you get dental implants. They are the most complete tooth replacement solution available today, and they provide the most benefits when it comes to security, longevity, AND aesthetics.

We certainly can! If our comfy office, friendly team, and fresh cookies can’t help you relax, then we can offer you a variety of soothing sedation options. For our most nervous patients, we can even provide IV sedation, which is safe, fast-acting, and will help you simply float through your next appointment.

We like to think that everything we do here accomplishes that goal, but we actually have a variety of treatments specifically dedicated to this called cosmetic dentistry. Whether you simply want your teeth whitened or need a complete smile makeover, we’ll have the exact treatment and artistic touch to make sure you’ll absolutely love your smile.

Yes, we have a multitude of orthodontic treatments that are perfect for patients of all ages.

For younger patients, we can offer traditional metal braces, which are the most durable and cost-effective option.

For adults and teens, we can offer Invisalign®. Invisalign® uses clear plastic aligner trays to straighten the teeth, and this helps a patient maintain their natural appearance throughout treatment.

This can actually happen for a few reasons. You might be A.) Brushing too hard, B.) Flossing too hard, or most likely, C.) You have a form of gum disease.

Gum disease (also known as periodontal disease) is an infection that can occur when too much plaque and bacteria have accumulated on the gums and teeth. This can irritate the tissue and cause it to become inflamed, which makes it much more likely to bleed when it is touched by your brush and floss. Try cleaning your teeth with a lighter touch for about a week or so, and if the bleeding still happens, be sure to contact our office today for treatment.

Our practice will happily accept your insurance and work with your provider to get the most out of your benefits, but we are NOT an in-network provider with any plan. This is because your oral health needs should dictate your care and not your insurance coverage.
