Biography

Dr. Allyson Murchison was born and raised in Kingsport, Tennessee, and knew from the sixth grade that she wanted to become a dentist.

She attended Tennessee Tech University on both golf and academic scholarships, earning a degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology with a minor in Business. A competitive golfer, she finished runner-up at the Ohio Valley Conference golf championship during her junior year.

Dr. Murchison earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, graduating with honors in 2022. During dental school she was an active member of Psi Omega fraternity and the American Association for Women Dentists, served as Honor Council President, and taught operative dentistry to first-year students.

Now practicing in her husband's hometown, Dr. Murchison is excited to provide comprehensive dental care in a warm, welcoming environment alongside the team at Cornerstone Dental at Executive Park.

Dr. Murchison

Outside of dentistry, Allyson enjoys golfing, hiking, reading, traveling, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. A competitive golfer, she won the Tennessee Women’s Amateur golf tournament in 2015 at the Chattanooga Golf and Country Club. She is married to Franklin, whom she met in dental school and who is currently completing his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Most recently, Allyson and Franklin welcomed their first child — and becoming a new mom is the role she is most excited about yet.
